Part of the aim of this site is to encourage debate about issues that I think are worthy of an informed discussion. I hope that those who visit the site will want to read what it has to say, and that some of you will take part in the discussion.

However, while most comments will be published I reserve the right not to publish comments without explanation. Comments that won’t be published include those that are discriminatory, potentially libelous, intolerant, defamatory, or downright unpleasant. Willful attempts to take threads off-topic, or any sockpuppetry, won’t be welcome. And, of course, I’m the arbiter of what will be published.

Initially at least any comments will be pre-moderated.
